Oil on glass
An abstract experiment. I was making some oil paint today using terre verte pigment (PG23) from Sennelier and I liked the way it spread on the grinding plate. That’s a little more than half a tube worth of paint. Of course, after taking the photo I scraped it all up to put it in a tube.
Oil on steel
I thought the paint on my palette knife looked like trees with a silvery cloud moving over them. ^_^
edit- aaaah! I knew I hadn’t posted anything in a while, but I didn’t think it’d been over half a month. I have a lot of paintings I’ve been working on, and a few are even finished or close to it, so… yeah. I guess I’ll have some more posts coming shortly. π
As a painter who seem to have lost the urge to paint, I adore you for your experimentation and play. I have you woodlandscape with the rays of light between the trees as desktopimage – it looks wondrous, such atmosphere:)
Thanks a lot π
There were a few years after college that I wasn’t painting at all because I had shifted my focus to graphic design, but I came back to painting because I enjoy it much more. Sometimes motivation is hard to find though. There’s a lot of things I could say, but I think it’s important to 1. have an artistic vision that you want to explore as a central focus and 2. try out other things too for diversity of artistic diet.
amazing friend!
Thanks, I wasn’t sure if anyone would like this kind of thing like I do but it was fun to do so I thought I’d share it. π
