Here’s the final page of the book. It seemed like it would be fitting to end with a scene set at the end of a long day. This page was first drawn with pencil, then covered with a mix of acrylic mediums to give the paper some protection against buckling as the wax paint from Ceracolors was applied.
Part way through this project I switched to posting larger images and also captioning them directly, as you can see in the gallery below.
A long time ago I thought about a career in teaching, but never actually pursued it. Workshops would be interesting. Maybe someday I’ll do something like that. 🙂
I think you would enjoy it – since you are very good at describing your own process, and therefore will be able to support your students. I think you will have fun too 🙂
I’m so glad to be able to look through your book as I seemed to have missed so much. Its beautiful work.
I’ve enjoyed following the progress of your waterfalls book; it is great to see all the images together, you must be feeling rightly proud of this work.
I was thinking about it more and actually as a rule I try to avoid pride. For one, there’s always something that could have been done better, and also I owe a lot to the help of others. For this project I’m mostly satisfied, though it really could have benefited from more preplanning to be more cohesive and to have a more balanced diversity of scenes. Maybe the satisfaction is mainly that it was finished, that new things were attempted, and that people enjoyed seeing it. Thank you for your supporting encouragement.
have you ever given workshops in painting/drawing? I would guess they would be very well frequented:)

Thanks, and also I put a link in the menu bar that should show all of posts for this project. 🙂
Beautiful collection of images. Nice to see them together as well. (K)
Thanks ^_^
I like this! Thank you.
Thanks 🙂
A fine and ambitious project — well done!
Yeah, it turned out a little bigger than I expected. The first drawing was mostly done before I decided to make a project out of it.

I think I’m pretty much satisfied with it, even though not all the ideas got used. Now to settle on the next project. 🙂

Beautiful collection :-). A pleasure to see them all in a gallery!
