Another view of the Colorado river. If you look closely at where the river starts to disappear in the distance, you might notice that it's the same scene as the last painting. This is just a wider view of that scene and from a slightly different angle.

In this painting I tried focusing on the glowing light in the scene and letting the details fade out in the highlights and shadows.

Here’s a second version of a scene that I posted a couple of months ago in a different weather condition. This time it’s painted in oil paint.

When I was actually making this painting days ago I wasn’t sure where I had taken the reference photo, but yesterday I passed by the place again and recognized it. This little scene is a short distance east of the Moffat Tunnel in the Front Range mountains of Colorado.
